Dazzling gala dinner celebrates Chinese craftsmanship and design exhibition in Paris

The star conductors of this feast were Samuel Lee, former executive chef of Shangri-La Paris, and Dong Zhenxiang, founder and president of the Da Dong Group. Drawing on Chinese culinary traditions, they created surprising and exquisite dishes for the dinner guests.
A menu consisting of five dishes corresponding to the five traditional Chinese elements - metal, wood, water, fire, and earth - served as a vehicle for French guests to understand China, with the stories behind these delicacies deepening their knowledge of Chinese culture. Chinese cuisine was paired with French wines and Chinese Fenjiu liquor. Many guests noted that this meal and its food-wine pairings were an elegant encapsulation of Chinese culture.
