High-speed train electrician dedicates herself to perfection
Yao Zhihui, an experienced high-speed train electrician, is dedicated to her work. No issue is too minor for her to resolve.
"Each high-speed railcar has 19,726 wire harnesses and nearly 100,000 connection points," said Yao, 36, who works for CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles, a high-speed train manufacturer based in Northeast China's Jilin province.
"To make sure each inspection step is completed at a high quality, we must know every word by heart."
After graduating from Northeast Electric Power University in 2011, Yao was recruited by the company. Since then, she has tackled nearly 50 key manufacturing processes for 13 types of high-speed trains and solved 76 technical issues.
"In the beginning, I wasn't clear about the specifics of my job," she said. "However, when I was led into the assembly workshop, I was deeply impressed by the vast workshop with rows of shining high-speed trains and quite proud of being a high-speed train manufacturing worker."
