Xi'an Symphony Orchestra's outdoor concert draws thousands

An outdoor concert by Xi'an Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductor Zhang Guoyong was held on Sept 13 on the square near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a historical Buddhist site in Xi'an built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
The annual outdoor concert, which has been held for 12 years, reached a new peak with tens of thousands of attendees this year. The event was also livestreamed, amassing a total viewership of 14.6 million.
The performance featured a blend of Chinese melodies and Western classics, resonating with the city and creating a harmonious echo of the times.
