Chinese acrobatic show Swan makes international debut in Moscow
The Chinese acrobatic show Swan, created and performed by the Guangzhou Acrobatic Arts Troupe, began its Russia tour in Moscow on Friday, bringing the unique charm of Chinese acrobatics to the international stage. Later, the troupe will perform in St. Petersburg.
The show will be staged at the renowned Mariinsky Theater, according to the troupe from Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province.
The Swan debuted as one of the most outstanding productions at the 12th China Acrobatic Exhibition, which concluded in Shenyang, Liaoning province, in early September.
The plot revolves around the growth of Chinese acrobat Yu Meng. It portrays the struggles of modern-day Chinese acrobats through an innovative blend of drama, acrobatics, ballet and other art forms.
The performance is part of the China-Russia Cultural Year to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia.
