Strikeast Percussion Ensemble turns 5 with concert

Female Generals of the Yang Family, a music piece featuring 18 percussionists playing traditional Chinese percussion instruments, was also staged during the concert.

Strikeast Percussion Ensemble, founded by Yin Fei, a teacher of the Central Conservatory of Music, gathers members from the undergraduate and graduate students from the traditional Chinese instruments department of the Central Conservatory of Music. The award-winning ensemble has performed at home and abroad, showcasing traditional Chinese percussions and young music talents.
