Situated on the border of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, Jiamusi is a fascinating city with a long history stretching back centuries. From its stunning natural landscapes to its bustling urban areas, it is known for its golden waves of wheat, lush forests, large wetlands and the customs of the Hezhe ethnic group.

Earlier this month, the China Photojournalists Society of China and the Jiamusi publicity department invited about 120 photographers from around the country to frame the city in their lens.

As an important industrial and agricultural base in Northeast China, the city is strategically located near the China-Russian border, enhancing its economic significance. It serves as a key point for trade and cross-border interactions.

With a population of more than 2 million, Jiamusi has a robust and growing economy, with a GDP of 90.93 billion yuan ($12.76 billion) reported in last year, compared with 86.92 billion yuan the previous year.
