Guo Canyuan, the emerging artist also known as Zero Guo, is hosting an exhibition of his paintings and sculptures at Beijing's Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beyond the Bustle.
This vibrant display, running until January, is taking place in the hotel's fifth-floor public areas.
Born into a family of artists, Guo has seen art as integral since childhood. Primarily focused on painting and sculpture, he is not only an artist but also a creative designer, and a collector.
The exhibition features a selection of 18 paintings and eight sculptures. A highlight of the exhibition is Taotie, a captivating painting that is named after an ancient Chinese mythological creature renowned for its insatiable appetite, that often symbolizes greed.
