China's self-developed jet C919 welcomed its 1 millionth passenger during the flight from Shanghai to Xi'an of Shaanxi province on December 19. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

A female passenger surnamed Lin taking China Eastern Airlines' C919 flight from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport to Xi'an Xianyang International Airport on Thursday became the 1 millionth passenger of the domestically-made jetliner, and she received an aircraft model as a souvenir for this special moment, according to the Shanghai-based carrier.
