China's self-developed jet C919 welcomed its 1 millionth passenger during the flight from Shanghai to Xi'an of Shaanxi province on December 19. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

China Eastern's nine C919 aircraft are currently operating eight regular commercial flights to the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Chongqing, Chengdu of Sichuan province, Xi'an of Shaanxi province, Guangzhou of Guangdong province, Taiyuan of Shanxi province, and Wuhan of Hubei province.
