Narratives of Urban Curating, an exhibition now underway as a parallel show of the ongoing Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, invites audiences to reflect on how the most valuable aspects of rural life can be protected amid rapid urbanization, and how these qualities might be more closely connected to everyday urban experience.

The exhibition examines a series of experimental projects from Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces that seek to reinvigorate rural communities. Through models, videos and texts, the show traces new approaches to restoring countryside vitality while responding to contemporary social needs.

One featured case presents a striking landscape from villages in Huizhou, where modern architecture designed for both villagers and visitors is carefully woven into the natural surroundings, demonstrating how sensitive design can bridge tradition and modern life.
