Tucked among the quiet neighborhoods of western Beijing, the gallery of Art News of China, has been revitalized into a dynamic platform for artists nationwide. Its ongoing program, Dazzling as a Galaxy, brings together emerging talents from different cities, offering them broader visibility.
The latest exhibition focuses on artists from Foshan, Guangdong province, featuring works across Chinese painting, oil, printmaking, sculpture, and ceramics. Known as both an industrial powerhouse in the Pearl River Delta and a historical cradle of kung fu, Foshan's cultural identity runs deep through its local traditions.
The show captures the city's evolving urban culture and the fresh aesthetics shaped by a younger generation — artists who inherit the rich legacy of the Cantonese-speaking Lingnan region while engaging openly with global influences.
