Hebei hosts unmanned flight contest

The opening ceremony featured spectacular air performances. Parachutists drew graceful arcs in the sky, racing drones precisely hit airborne balloons, and turboprop model aircraft performed daring maneuvers.

Gyroplanes, light aircraft and stunt planes took turns to cruise low and dive at high speed, drawing cheers from the crowd.

"It's so exciting! One amazing stunt after another — it's fun," said Yang Changxiu, a fifth grader from a local primary school.
