Fudan University reveals top 10 scientific and technological advances of 2025
Fudan University unveiled its top 10 scientific and technological advances of 2025 on May 27 in Shanghai, hailing the pioneer spirit of original innovation in academic research.
The selected sci-tech breakthroughs spread across the university's diverse schools and research fields, such as physics, chemistry, smart robotics, integrated chips and systems, macromolecular science, medical science, and more.
Among the cutting-edge advances are topological water-wave structures manipulating particles and reactive molecules for long-lasting lithium batteries. The catalytic cycle that enables crude hydrogen separation, storage and transportation, and the intelligent equipment for desert cultivation have been put into practical use. Other highlighted breakthroughs include ultrafast memory devices, 6G photonic chips, the mechanisms of mitochondrial autophagy, Parkinson's disease targets, as well as new models for liver cancer treatment and tumor localization and diagnosis equipment.
