Local ties anchor China-Belarus forum's 43 cooperation deals in Gansu

Chinese provinces and Belarusian regions signed 43 cooperation agreements at the China-Belarus Forum on Local Cooperation on Wednesday in Lanzhou, Gansu province, pledging to deepen exchanges in education, culture, youth engagement, and technology, alongside economic collaboration.

The agreements cover investment, trade, science and technology, education and training, and subnational cooperation. Officials said the forum highlighted the growing role of local governments in advancing the Belt and Road Initiative, with cultural and educational exchanges seen as the foundation of long-term ties.
