The China-Kyrgyzstan Apple Demonstration Orchard in Karabalta, Chuy region, Kyrgyzstan, bore fruit for the first time, marking a recent achievement in agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
The orchard, on 3.33 hectares of land, is the first standardized demonstration orchard for apple cultivation using the dwarf-rootstock dense planting technique. The project began in April last year.
Now, the park has planted eight high-quality apple varieties, with more than 7,200 virus-free saplings. Treated to block unhealthy viruses, the saplings feature strong stress resistance and are well-adapted to the climate and soil conditions in Kyrgyzstan.
