Heishui county's dazzling forest enters peak viewing season

Flocks of tourists are heading to Heishui county in Aba Tibetan and Qiang autonomous prefecture, Sichuan province, to catch a glimpse of the surrounding forest as it explodes into dazzling colors during its peak viewing season. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

A dramatic elevation drop and diverse collection of tree species create Heishui's distinctive three-dimensional colorful forest landscape.

From the valley floor to the mountain peaks, golden, fiery red, deep brown, and emerald trees spread out in layers, painting dozens of kilometers of valleys in brilliant autumn hues.
