China will begin the second phase of implementing
guidelines from the United Nations Convention Against Corruption, sources with
the Central Committee for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China
(CPC) said last week.
Further international co-operation and legislation
are the main priorities at this stage, said Wu Guanzheng, a member of the
Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. In his
speech, Wu also urged government departments to work more closely with other
countries in the fight against corruption.
