Heavy truck boom in October

In September, heavy-truck enterprises began to experience a noticeable sales increase. The market for semi-trailer towing trucks was once again witnessing positive growth.

The heavy-truck market was not affected by the National Day holidays (October 1st -7th) and sales continued to rise. Twenty-two enterprises produced 25,697 heavy-trucks in total, rising slightly by 0.72 percent over the previous month, and achieved a sales amount of 26,691 vehicles, rising slightly by 0.7 percent over the previous month and up 78.63 percent year on year. Except for a drop in chassis distribution, heavy-truck and towing vehicle sales increased over the previous month and experienced a large-scale year-on-year rise.

In September and October, the steady increase in sales of heavy-trucks created a foundation for excellent growth of the heavy-truck market this year. From January to October, total sales of China's heavy-trucks amounted to 249,483 units, up 25.02 percent over the previous year.
