Zhejiang builds car parts centers

Two cities in Zhejiang Province will establish car parts procurement centers. The Ningbo spare parts center is located in the Ningbo International Auto Town, which already has more than 200 auto-related companies from home and abroad.

The Ningbo city government invested 500 million yuan (US$65.21 million) into the 100,000-square-meter International Auto Town, which has been selected by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce as a global auto parts procurement center. The Ningbo auto town will open its doors in June.

The first-phase project at the Hangzhou International Car Parts Procurement Center will be completed in April next year. The plan is to attract international vehicle and spare parts makers and auto dealers. After it is constructed, the Hangzhou car parts center will become a distribution and logistics center.
