Carlyle to invest $87m in China's Sinorgchem

Private equity company The Carlyle Group will invest $87 million in Chinese chemical firm Sinorgchem, the two companies said in a statement on Monday.

Sinorgchem manufactures chemicals used in the production of rubber products.

Carlyle has invested more than $3.5 billion in Asian equities and has assets worth $82.7 billion globally, the statement said.
