Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine Co, China's largest manufacturing base of antineoplastics and the nation-appointed stupefacient manufacturer, said Monday its net profit in 2009 surged 59.16 percent year-on-year.
In its annual report of 2009 to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company said its net profit for 2009 hit 693 million yuan ($101 million).

Hengrui's shares opened slightly higher at 46.77 yuan per share on Monday morning, up 0.02 percent from the previous closing.
