Fishermen in Hainan and Guangdong provinces have resumed their seafaring operations after the annual fishing ban in the northern South China Sea was lifted on Aug 1.
From midday Aug 1, more than 14,000 fishing boats registered in Guangdong province and about 9,000 ships in Hainan province will head out to the South China Sea.
