Dalian auto show to kick off

The 17th Dalian International Automotive Exhibition will kick off on August 22 at the Dalian Xinghai Exhibition Center and the Dalian World Expo Center.

Automakers from 12 countries and regions will show their products during the five-day fair.

The event features more than 1,200 cars, including world top brands like Bentley, Ferrari and Maserati, according to Li Bozhou, head of the Dalian branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

Some automakers will release their new products at the Dalian event.

Initiated in 1996, Dalian auto show has been held for 16 consecutive years, a record in China. The fair also has the biggest trade volume, with more than 50,000 automobiles having been sold in the past 16 sessions.
