Large Medium SmallThe second beauty contest for West Shandong Black Head Sheep was held on Oct 28, 2012 at Tangyi county, Dongchangfu district, Liaocheng city, Shandong province.
West Shandong Black Head sheep is a hybrid of the South African Dorper sheep and Chinese Small Tail Han sheep. More than 500 sheep came from different areas around Liaocheng city to participate in the competition. Twenty of the animals were awarded for their body shape, body weight, reproductive performance, and fur.
According to the competition organized by the local government, the contest offered a platform for farmers to display and share their breeding experiences.
