Commercial Aircraft Corp of China has signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus SAS in an effort to enable sustainable growth in air transport, the European aircraft builder announced on Friday.
The two sides will cooperate on a series of programs, the first of which will be for standardized and interoperable air traffic management, according to the MOU.
They will share practices and identify improvements required to current air traffic management technology roadmaps both onboard the aircraft and on the ground to foster safer, more efficient and sustainable air traffic operations.
The Chinese airplane manufacturer also cooperates with Boeing Co and they have jointly established a technology center, which is working on research of air traffic management systems and bio-fuels.
