Alberto Bradanini, Italian Ambassador to China, says the embassy not only seeks better Sino-Italian ties but also strongly backs the participation of Vanke at Expo Milano 2015.

Yu Liang, the President of Vanke Group, said in his speech that the "dining hall" theme was chosen by Vanke to present a real and whole picture of city life of China from the perspective of ordinary community residents.

As the urban supporting service provider, Vanke is always promoting harmonious relationship between community and nature. He said people want a feeling of belonging, harmony and community atmosphere in harmonious neighborhood relationship and not just good houses and services.

Since 2010, the fifth Shitang created by Vanke has been promoted in all Vanke communities nationwide. The Shitang not only brings convenience to daily life but also becomes an important public space for residents to connect and communicate.

"Shitang" theme of Vanke Pavilion is an extension of Vanke's practice in community Shitang. Yu Liang said that participation in Expo Milano 2015 is part of Vanke's strategy to go global, and it fits in nicely with promotion of brand value of Chinese enterprises around the world.

At present, Vanke has real estate investments in New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Hong Kong and other cities.

As a company that grew up during China's urbanization drive, Vanke plays the role of an industry pioneer. In the Expo Shanghai 2010, Vanke decided on "2049 possibility of respect" as the theme. It used wheat straw as the main building's material and natural material, natural lighting and natural aeration-cooling in the pavilion and showed its respect for nature.

As the only real estate company taking part in the Expo, Vanke Pavilion received 1,210,000 domestic and overseas visitors and gained extensive praise.

To create Vanke Pavilion as a world-class pavilion, it had invited international teams to conduct building and exhibition design. Daniel Libeskind, internationally renowned architect and chief planner of the reconstruction of the World Trade Center in New York, was the chief designer of Vanke Pavilion, and internationally renowned exhibition design organization AAA carried out the exhibition plan.

With an area of about 1,000 square meters, Vanke Pavilion is located in the north section of north-south principal axis of Milano Expo Park, occupying the best position of all pavilions. While designing the Vanke Pavilion, Liberskind has heavily used curved geometric figures, building a sense of continuous flowing and has created a building space beneficial for thinking.

Vanke has signed partnership deals with 13 enterprises, including China Construction Fourth Engineering Division Corp. Ltd, Hitachi Elevator (China) Co Ltd, and Ningbo FOTILE Kitchen Ware Co Ltd.

Yu Liang thinks Vanke Pavilion serves not only as a display platform of Vanke but it also wants to cooperate with all parties to create Vanke Pavilion of Expo Milano 2015 as a common platform that will provide more opportunities to international interaction and brand publicity for Chinese companies.

Expo Milano 2015 is the 44th Expo that will be held in Milano, Italy, from May 1 to Oct 31, 2015. So far, 142 nations and organizations are set to participate in the events.
