Tebian Electric Apparatus Stock Co Ltd (TBEA) of China has started to manufacture products which will serve the Indian national grid, after it opened a UHV transformer research base in Vadodara, India on Monday.
TBEA - one of China's largest export enterprises of transformers, wire and cables - has won many contracts in India over the past few years, including deals to make over 200 products in 18 local transformer substations.
The company is engaged in international economic and technical cooperation, and its products are exported to over 60 countries, including the US, Russia and Brazil.
