BEIJING - More than 90 million passengers will travel by train prior to and during the upcoming National Day holiday, setting a record high, the China Railway Corporation forecast on Sunday.
About 92.7 million people are expected to take to the rails during the 10-day travel rush from Sunday, up 12.9 percent from the previous year, said the corporation.
The travel peak will likely be Oct 1, China's National Day, when the train will carry about 11.6 million passengers, also a record high.
