Real estate tycoon Yang Huiyan maintains her position as the richest woman in the Chinese mainland, according to a report released by the Hurun research institute on Monday.
This is the fourth year that the 33-year-old Yang, managing director of Country Garden, a property developer, has been ranked the richest women entrepreneur in China, with a fortune of 44 billion yuan ($7.19 billion), the report showed.
Chen Lihua, 73, chairperson of Fu Wah International Group, and Zhang Yin, 57, chairperson of Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Ltd, follow Yang on the list with assets worth 40 billion and 29 billion yuan respectively.
The threshold of the top 50 richest women entrepreneurs on the list rose to 5 billion yuan, up 36 percent from the 2013 list, and the average wealth of these 50 individuals also rose by 14 percent year-on-year to 10.9 billion yuan, said the report.
