China's first home-developed large passenger aircraft C919 rolls off assembly lines on Monday, said the manufacturer.
With 168-seat and 156-seat layouts, the C919 is expected to compete with Boeing and Airbus in the medium-range aircraft sector.
Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China unveiled the first plane after it rolled off its assembly plant in Shanghai.
The aircraft's standard range is 4,075 kilometers and it has already received 517 orders from 21 clients, home and abroad, according to the company.
The C919 will make maiden flight in 2016, after the completion of adjustment of the airborne system and installation of flight test equipment.
