10. Internet Plus strategy energizes certain sectors
On May 5, Premier Li Keqiang proposed the Internet Plus strategy in the government work report, highlighting integration of the mobile internet with modern manufacturing to promote e-commerce. A guide on the strategy released by the State Council said that influence of the Internet will be extended from consumption to production by accelerating upgradation of industries and strengthening innovation.
By 2018, the Internet will become an important tool for public services and by 2025, Internet Plus will become an important driver of China's economic growth, the guide said. The strategy's implementation will benefit sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, education and many other industries that can leverage resources from modern technologies of the Internet, said analysts.
