Hisense made the statement during a press conference at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show that held every January in Las Vegas.
The Chinese electronics manufacturer sold about 2 million TV and tablets in the United States in 2013, while the total sales were expect to reach 3 million this year based on the recovery of the US economy and the increasing demand for electronic appliances from Americans.
"Having our own plant will be helpful for both cost and management," Hisense's Executive Vice President Lin Lan told Xinhua.
Hisense has yet to decide where to build the factory, said Lin, adding that the company is negotiating with local governments to determine which place can offer more support.
