More than 200 million Chinese netizens, about a third of the total Internet population, are vulnerable to online attacks, a cyber security report on Tuesday revealed.
The annual report by Qihoo 360 Technology Co Ltd, one of the largest Internet security companies in China, showed that the country's online environment is not safe, with personal computers highly susceptible to malicious software.
The most vulnerable group will get at least one attack every 90 days, it said, adding online chatting tools, advertising plug-ins and pornographic sites are the top channels for cyber virus infection.
China is home to the world's largest Internet population. According to China Internet Network Information Center data, the country boasts 630 million netizens as of June last year.
