Aston Martin Lagonda (China) named Michael Mingshan Peng as its new President on Tuesday.

Peng would start his work in Aston on February 1, 2015, replacing Jenny Zheng Jinlan, who has retired from the company. He would assume operational responsibility for all aspects of the Aston Martin China business.

Aston Martin China's new president has been the director of sales of Porsche China since 2008, and then worked as director of public relations and press from Jan 8, 2014. He left Porsche China in December, 2014.

Peng has both international and China automotive experience, and was the perfect candidate to lead the Aston Martin brand in China, said Christian Marti, Global Sales Director of the sports car maker.

Aston Martin's CEO Dr Andy Palmer also said that the new president would be instrumental in leading the China dealer network.

Aston Martin Lagonda (China) Automobile Distribution Co Ltd was established on 1 June 2011. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aston Martin Lagonda Limited (AML) and General Distributor of Aston Martin cars in China.
