Chinese shares post weak opening after Thursday slump

Chinese shares continued to drop at the opening Friday after the biggest drop in almost three months on Thursday.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 1.06 percent to open at 3,137.30 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index slid 1.65 percent to 13,067.53 points at the opening.

Weak market sentiment on concerns over capital-raising of Chinese banks sent the Shanghai Composite Index down 3.62 percent and Shenzhen Component Index down 3.82 percent on Thursday.
