Sinopec says China refining capacity rises

China's refining capacity rose to 477 million metric tons in 2009, China Petrochemical Corp, known as Sinopec Group, said in a statement on its website.

Sinopec Group and PetroChina Co together accounted for 76.8 percent of the country's capacity while foreign companies accounted for 2.2 percent, according to the statement.
