Ford Edge
Ford is displaying its 2011 version Edge at the Beijing auto show for the model's debut in Asia. The mid-sized SUV was first launched in North America in February and will enter the Chinese market this year.
The five-seat model is equipped with a 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine that produces peak power of 212kW/6500rpm and offers maximum torque of 313Nm/4000rpm. It has a six-speed automatic transmission and intelligent four-wheel drive system.
The model features Ford's innovative multimedia interactive system MyFord Touch, the first time the company has brought its voice activation technology that supports Chinese language to the country.
Peugeot SR1
The concept convertible makes its Asian debut at the Beijing auto show after its first global appearance at Geneva motor show in March. Its carries the new lion badge of Peugeot after the company began to replace the old icon globally at the beginning of this year.
Peugeot has applied its Hybird4 technology on the SR1 that employs a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with maximum power of 160kW and an electric motor with output up to 70kW. When both power sources are used, the car consumes just 4.9 liters fuel per 100km with carbon emissions of 119g/km.
The model has a streamlined body and luxury interior. Its three seats are placed in an innovative "2+1" configuration with two seats in the front and a third in the center of the back row.
