Roewe 350
Roewe 350 made by SAIC Motor Co makes its global premier at the Beijing auto show. It is equipped with the 1.5-liter VTI-Tech engine that generates maximum power of 80kW and produces peak torque of 135Nm. The model has two transmission options: four-speed multi-mode automatic and five-speed SSG manual.
The model's length, width and height are 4,521mm, 1,788mm and 1,492mm. It has a 2,650mm wheelbase that enables roomier passenger space than its counterparts in the A-class segment.
SAIC has great hopes for the Roewe 350 as it has set a full-year sales goal for its own-brand cars at 180,000 units.
Geely Gleagle GS
The compact sports car built by domestic company Geely makes its global premiere at the Beijing auto show. The dynamic two-door model, which looks similar to the Audi TT, demonstrates Geely's new design principles for a sports car and has a unique honeycomb-like front radiator grille.
The car is set to begin production in 2012 at Geely's plant in Luqiao. It has two engine options: 1.5-liter and turbocharged 1.3-liter that generates maximum power of 95kW/5500rpm and offers top torque of 186Nm/2000-4500rpm.
The 1.5-liter version provides maximum power of 78.5kw/6000rpm and peak torque of 141Nm/4000rpm.
The four-seat model is 4,215mm long, 1,810mm wide and 1,350mm high. It has a 2,461mm wheelbase.
