Chinese shares close sharply lower - May 9
(Xinhua) Updated: 2012-05-09 15:43BEIJING - Chinese shares closed sharply lower Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 40.3 points, or 1.65 percent, to 2,408.59.
The Shenzhen Component Index tumbled 2.19 percent, or 230.1 points, to close at 10,294.58.
