Zheng Xinli, executive vice president of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, made the remarks during a four-day visit to the United States to introduce policies made last year at the third plenum of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
In response, the US side spoke highly of the CPC's determination and courage in adhering to reform and opening up. The US side believed that more exchanges and enhanced mutual trust are important for the sound development of bilateral relations.
