A total of 31,000 cans of spoiled Oz Milko, an Australian infant formula product, were burnt on Wednesday in an incineration action launched by the Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, because their expiration dates had been tampered.

Starting from April 1, 2014, imported infant formula products are also required to have their Chinese labels directly printed on their smallest sales packages before they enter the Chinese market, according to China's latest rules on food packaging.
