BARCELONA -- Co-Dean of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Zhang Weijiong on Thursday encouraged Spaniards to work together with Chinese enterprises.
Zhang, also a professor of strategy at the CEIBS, made the remarks during an interview with Xinhua conducted on the sidelines of the IESE Global Leadership Conference, a two-day event being held at the IESE Business School in Barcelona.
Zhang said Spaniards were "hard-working people and have comparative advantage" and suggested that they should work together with Chinese enterprises.
"China has a very big market" he said. "There are aspects that Chinese companies are not doing so well, while in many aspects European companies are doing a good job."
In this sense, Zhang talked about Chinese private enterprises and their contribution to the country's economic growth.
"Chinese private sector is growing very fast and now contributes to more than 60 percent of the GDP," he said, adding that in his opinion China's private enterprises will continue to outperform public ones.
During the IESE Global Leadership Conference, deans and academics from leading business schools in the world will analyze the importance of education for business leadership to ensure success and growth.
