Nippon Paint China displays CSR with strong presence in charity walkathon at the Great Wall

About 300 staff volunteers from Nippon Paint China, a member of Nipsea Group, attended a charity walkathon campaign themed "Shanxingzhe(Walking for Kids)"at the Great Wall in Beijing on Sept 12.

The charity walkathon, with a 50-kilometer-long route, started off at the Juyong Pass of the Great Wall, a mountain pass located in the city's Changping District. A total of 49 volunteers out of 60 walkathon members finished the whole journey after overcoming such difficulties as climbing rugged mountains and trekking over rivers and streams.

"Everyone can be involved in the charity walkathon campaign. We believe in "One Step, one change", and Nippon Paint China has been dedicated to fulfilling corporate social responsibility (CSR), hoping that children in impoverished mountainous areas could live a better life. Nippon Paint China organized the largest group with 300 of its employee volunteers to participate in such a charity walkathon, which showcased its commitment to the society", said Ariel Wu, Nippon Paint China's PR, CSR and Brand Communication Director.

The "Shanxingzhe (Walking for Kids)"walkathon campaign is launched and organized by China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA).In addition to participating in the walkathon, Nippon Paint China, as one of the partner enterprises,will donate another 200,000 yuan to sponsor some charitable programs, with the aim of helping create a better living environment for children in impoverished mountainous areas.
