More than 100 Israeli enterprises and 1,000 Chinese investors joined Goforisrael 2016 in Shanghai on Tuesday, an investment summit that opens gateways to Israel for Chinese businessmen and introduces Israeli companies to the Chinese market.
Several of China's big players in the technology and investment sectors, such as Alibaba, Baidu, Tencent, Lenovo and Fosun, have joined the event in a bid to seek investment and collaboration opportunities, while Israeli enterprises, such as Mobileye, Xjet, Tufin Zerto, WeWork, Emefcy and ReWalk Robotics, have joined them to expand their exposure to the Chinese market and global investors.
High-tech enterprises, bio-science, medical services, telecommunication and environment friendly technologies are among the most popular projects showcased at the event.
A number of investment deals between Chinese and Israeli enterprises have been completed in recent years in the fields of consumers' goods, telecommunication and biopharmaceutical, and infrastructure.
Another event bringing together investors and Israel's opportunities will be held in Wuhan, Hubei province on September 22.
