BEIJING - Chinese shares closed higher on Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.44 percent, or 8.95 points, to finish at 2,056.30.
The Shenzhen Component Index inched up 2.46 percent, or 177.18 points, to close at 7,365.93.
