CAR embraces CTO of IBM Greater China

CAR Inc announced on Wednesday that it has appointed Liu Yaxiao the Chief Information Officer, who will be in charge of CAR's information technology.

Liu, IBM Greater China's current Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect of Global Technology Services, will drive the company's technological innovation to support business growth.

As one of the top technology experts at IBM China and the Open Group Distinguished Chief/Lead Architect, Liu has worked with IBM in different capacities since 1999, upon graduation from Tsinghua University. Liu brings with him 15 years of experience of strategic planning and project management in corporate IT architecture and design, mobile Internet application and Internet finance, cloud-based computing, smart city planning and online solutions for logistics networks.

CAR is a leading car rental service company in China. According to Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, CAR far exceeds its competitors across various operating and financial metrics, including fleet size, network coverage, market share, and brand awareness.

Liu received his master's and bachelor's degrees in computer science from Tsinghua University in 1999 and 1997 respectively.
