He is one of the more than 700 Xinjiang photographers who took part in the 16th Xinjiang Photography Art Exhibition, according to the exhibition committee. Participants submitted about 3,900 pieces of work, and 160 photographs have won prizes.

The exhibition has attracted many local residents. Tang Yanling, who is originally from Sichuan province, has lived in Xinjiang for more than half a century. He read about the exhibition from newspaper.

"I feel very good. Xinjiang's natural sceneries can be said to be very rare in China."

Other visitors like Ye Chunneng, found the exhibition in other uses. He is an amateur painter, but because it's often too difficult to sketch wild life, this exhbition provides a perfect opportunity.

The committee said that apart from photographs depicting Xinjiang's people and nature, it's also the first time the exhibition set up two categories: black and white, and commercial photography.
