MADRID - Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei and French mobile network provider Orange on Monday jointly presented a new system Car-Wi-Fi, which allows users to connect a total of 10 different terminals, smartphones, tablets, etc in the same vehicle to Wi-Fi.
Huawei's Car-WiFi system allows 4G connectivity, while weighing just 50 grams and with dimensions of 59x49x88 mm and weight of just 50 grams and has an accessible price of just 99 euros ($110).
Javier Palacios, the Director of Marketing at Huawei Device Spain said that "the connected car is an important opportunity for growth and with Huawei Car Wi-FI, we are not only maintaining our promise to make a better connected world possible, but also to enter into another segment of the market, which has a promising future."
Meanwhile the Director of Residential Mobile Marketing of Orange, Spain, Mickael Faure explained that "with Car Wi-Fi, we once again show that we are the first to offer an exclusive and innovative solution to our clients. The question 'are we there yet? ' that children always ask on journeys, will end with Car Wi-Fi."
