"We created a brand new business model and operation model in China's Internet data center sector," said Wang Song, founder, chairman and CEO of ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd, China's leading total solutions provider of Internet content and application delivery services, in an exclusive interview with chinadaily.com.cn.
Q: What's the current status and outlook for the Internet data center industry in China?
Wang: ChinaCache Atecsys Cloud Data Center is the first data center that is privately developed and run in China in a pure business model. It can provide customers on-demand customized solutions with comprehensive experience and capabilities in design, construction, operation and maintenance.
We made great achievements in this field last year, it brings fresh new business concept in the industry.
In the United States, there are a lot of companies, even many listed companies, providing data center services for different levels. They are a huge group beyond telecom operators.
Q: China Unicom and China Telecom were awarded nationwide FDD-LTE 4G licenses by the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on February 27. How it will affect the future of 4G development in China?
Wang: The issuance of FDD licenses will bring more competition to the market and boost the popularization of 4G services. The entrance of China Unicom and China Telecom into the 4G market will promptly bring down the expenses of 4G traffic, which is surely good news to netizens and mobile Internet users.
I think China's Internet will really come into the 4G era this year.
