Q: We know that ChinaCache went public on the Nasdaq in 2010. China saw a boom of tech companies getting listed in the United States last year. What do you think of this phenomenon? Does ChinaCache have a plan to make an IPO in the Chinese mainland?

Wang: As more companies went public in the United States, especially after the IPO of Alibaba, more and more people there came to get balanced idea about Chinese companies and it has a positive effect on the US capital market.

If the market environment is OK, I think there will be more Chinese companies to make IPO in the United States this year.

We are not urgently pursuing going public in the mainland at present.

Getting listed is only a tool for a company to get more capital for expansion, but it is not the goal. We will focus on managing our business.

Q: Data from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, Chinese investors faced more scrutiny from a US national security watchdog than those from any other country in 2013. Have you encountered such problems in the United States?

Wang: We certainly have. In fact, it is not a secret in the United States. The US is very strict and sensitive on these issues.

I think we have to adapt ourselves to the situation there. Making yourself more understood, you may win more trust for your business.
